GO has purchased a 51% stake in AQS Med Ltd, a company specializing in alternative energy solutions, for €1.2m.
Nikhil Patil, the CEO of GO, commented, “This investment in AQS Med aligns with GO’s dedication to sustainable energy values and our ambition to actively participate in this crucial sector. This move will enable the Group to expand within the energy industry and assist Malta in reaching its environmental goals.”
Two years ago, GO entered the green technology sector with an initial investment of €1 million in SENS Innovation Group. This company focuses on energy management, utilizing its unique IoT-based technology to decrease energy usage and costs in commercial buildings.
AQS Med Ltd offers a range of renewable energy solutions for both homes and businesses. They have become a leading market player, trusted with some of the most significant installations of PV systems, water and underfloor heating, smart home automation, and EV chargers in Malta.
Founded in 2010, AQS Med has recently broadened its operations to include PV projects, with ownership and financing managed by its wholly-owned sister companies, AQS Solar Capital Ltd and Malta Solar Parks Ltd.
AQS Med provides leasing options to landowners and factory tenants for its projects. This approach allows businesses to access these facilities, benefit from revenue streams without an initial capital outlay, and provide the flexibility to buy the systems at any point.
