SEG Solar (SEG), a prominent manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules catering to utility, commercial, and residential sectors in the United States, has forged a strategic distribution alliance with PT ATW Sejahtera (ATW), a leading solar PV company based in Indonesia.
This partnership aims to capitalize on ATW’s extensive expertise in energy investment within Indonesia to expedite SEG’s market entry and expand its brand presence. SEG is committed to extending comprehensive support to ATW, fostering sustained growth in the clean energy sector and delivering benefits to local communities and the economy.
Antonius Weno, Founder and Chairman of ATW Group, expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting Indonesia’s abundant solar resources and the national goal of achieving 4.68 GW of photovoltaic power generation by 2030. He emphasized the strategic partnership with SEG as a means to enhance customer value and drive sustainable development in the Indonesian PV market.
Jun Zhuge, Founder and COO of SEG, underscored the significance of the collaboration with ATW, citing ATW’s extensive investment projects totaling over 80 MW across Indonesia. This partnership provides SEG with a valuable opportunity to establish a stronger presence among Indonesian customers, aligning with SEG’s regional diversification strategy and its overarching ambition to emerge as a global leader in renewable energy.
Prior to this alliance, SEG secured a lease agreement with the KITB in Indonesia, outlining plans to invest $500 million in the construction of a 5 GW solar cell and 3 GW solar module production line project. Upon completion, this facility is poised to become one of the largest solar cell and module factories in Indonesia.
SEG remains committed to delivering top-notch PV products, with its YUKON series N-type TOPCon modules gaining traction in the Indonesian market for their exceptional performance in efficiency, reliability, and durability. The YUKON N series encompasses various models, spanning a power range from 415W to 585W, catering to the diverse needs of residential, commercial, large-scale, and extra-large ground station projects.
