General information, not advice
Everything on Our Power is general information about energy technologies, markets and policy. It is not financial, investment, legal, engineering or other professional advice, and it does not take your circumstances into account.
Before you buy or install anything, such as solar panels, a battery, a heat pump or a boiler, or sign an energy contract, get quotes and advice from qualified, certified professionals (for example MCS-certified installers for small-scale renewables), check current rules with official bodies such as Ofgem and GOV.UK, and read the terms of any product or tariff. Prices, grants, tariffs and regulations change; always check the current position.
